Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 18 April 2025

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the engagement between Neuralforges ("the Firm") and any individual or entity ("the Client") who engages the Firm for notarial services or accesses the Firm's website at neuralforges.com.

By submitting an enquiry, entering into a service agreement, or using this website, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms. The Firm encourages all Clients to read this document carefully before proceeding with any engagement.

The Firm operates under the supervision of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and holds the designation of Notarial Services Attorney as conferred by the Council. All services are provided in accordance with applicable Thai law and the professional standards of the Lawyers Council.

1. Scope of Services

The Firm provides notarial services as described on this website, including but not limited to:

  • Single-document authentication for powers of attorney, affidavits, and corporate certifications;
  • Travelling notarial services for multi-document sets at the Client's premises;
  • Year-long corporate retainer arrangements for organisations with regular documentation requirements.

The precise scope of any engagement is defined in the written fee agreement or engagement letter issued to the Client prior to commencement of work. Services not expressly described in that agreement are outside the scope of the engagement.

Notarial services provided by the Firm are acts of certification and authentication performed by a qualified attorney. They do not constitute legal advice on the underlying transaction, and the Firm does not assume responsibility for the legal sufficiency of the document's content unless specifically engaged to review it.

2. Engagement and Fees

An engagement with the Firm is established upon the Client's written acceptance of the Firm's fee proposal and payment of any required advance deposit.

Fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are payable as specified in the engagement letter. For single-document and travelling service engagements, payment is typically due prior to or at the time of the appointment. For retainer arrangements, the annual fee is payable in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All quoted fees are inclusive of the Firm's professional time and standard certification materials. Disbursements — such as government fees, courier charges, or apostille processing costs — are billed separately and are the Client's responsibility.

The Firm reserves the right to adjust fee schedules. Any adjustment will not affect engagements already confirmed in writing.

3. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information and documents as requested by the Firm;
  • Attend appointments punctually or provide at least 48 hours' notice if rescheduling is necessary;
  • Present valid government-issued identification at the time of any authentication appointment;
  • Ensure that any documents submitted for authentication are genuine and have not been altered;
  • Inform the Firm of any change in circumstances relevant to the engagement.

The Firm may decline or suspend services if the Client fails to fulfil these obligations or if the Firm has reasonable grounds to believe that a document may be fraudulent, forged, or intended for an unlawful purpose.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

For single-document and travelling service appointments, the Client may reschedule without charge by providing at least 48 hours' written notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a rescheduling fee, as specified in the engagement letter.

For retainer arrangements, cancellation requests should be submitted in writing. Where a retainer is cancelled before its term has expired, fees for services already rendered in the current period are non-refundable. Any remaining prepaid but unused monthly allocations may be refunded on a pro-rated basis at the Firm's discretion.

The Firm reserves the right to reschedule appointments in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The Firm will provide as much advance notice as practicable and will endeavour to accommodate the Client's schedule.

5. Confidentiality

The Firm treats all information and documents provided by the Client as confidential. This information will not be disclosed to third parties without the Client's consent, except where disclosure is required by law, court order, or the professional obligations of the Firm's attorneys.

The Firm maintains a record of notarial acts performed, as required by the Lawyers Council of Thailand. This record is held securely and is not accessible to third parties except upon lawful request.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Firm performs notarial acts in accordance with the standards of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. The Firm's liability for any claim arising from the performance of notarial services is limited to the fees paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

The Firm is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the Client's failure to provide accurate information, from rejection of a document by a foreign authority for reasons unrelated to the notarisation itself, or from circumstances beyond the Firm's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct on the part of the Firm's attorneys.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, layout, and design elements — is the property of Neuralforges or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission. The website is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

The Firm encourages Clients to raise any concerns directly with the Firm in the first instance. The Firm will endeavour to address concerns promptly and in good faith.
